An impressive portfolio is essential for applying to any art/design college. In India, portfolio evaluation is an important criteria for student selection in the second round of the admission process after the written examination for all reputed colleges.

Indian Colleges like NIDNIFTUIDPearlISDI & more conduct portfolio rounds along with the interview.

NID as well as other private colleges prefer a portfolio after the result of the written entrance test. The latest trend in private colleges is to evaluate student’s portfolio on the same day of the written examination.

Post pandemic, most colleges are accepting portfolios in a Digital Format, which is submitted directly on their portal or through an email in ppt or pdf format.

NIFT is the only college that does not require a portfolio during the selection process.

Make sure you choose the best and most interesting pieces.
